A Quick Correction

My description of Trapiche was actually of Puente Trapiche, which is the part of Trapiche where the farm is. Puente means bridge, and the farm is near a bridge that leads from the main highway. Puente Trapiche is a more tranquil part of Trapiche, which I finally saw the rest of on Wednesday. Luisa (the mother) took us on a tour of the area. We walked by several other farms--none of which are organic--and around fields where ghosts supposedly lurk at night. (Luisa is a great storyteller...) The main part of Trapiche has many more houses and stores, a small but beautifully manicured central square, the posta (medical center), and more. However, the family doesn´t spend much time there because it´s closer to the cantera (quarry), which is apparently a rough area. The way they describe it makes it sound a bit like the wild west, where the miners break out into fights and there is less rule of law. But don´t worry, Mom and Dad, we are safe in Puente Trapiche!
